The Growth of Mobility
Mobility is a big subject and the many products and services that it consists of, have a wide impact and are responsible for a huge revenue, to various organisations, manufacturers, governments and authorities.
A new study by Oliver Wyman Forum, claims that various emerging alternative mobility services, will grow twice as fast as traditional public transit methods, annually through 2030. This includes ride-sharing, e-scooters, e-bikes and many others.
To me this suggests that Mobility as a Service could be one of the biggest disruptive industries ever, in terms of value and the number of people affected.
But more importantly, the energy saved, air quality improved, noise levels reduced and the ensuing huge city-wide carbon footprint reduction.
